You have been identified by your Vice President to serve as a Workday Ambassador for your unit!

What is Workday?

  • Workday is a modern, cloud-based software system that works on computers, phones or tablets.
  • Workday will initially be our Recruiting, Onboarding, Timekeeping, Payroll and Absence-management system.  More functionality will come regarding talent management, learning, benefits and more.
  • Initial systems/processes that will be replaced include: CareerBuilder, Intellicorp background checks, New Hire Packets, Timekeeping in TimeClock Plus OR Eclipse, paper PTO requests, and Ceridian.
  • Our Go-Live is scheduled for the later half of September.

What is a Workday Ambassador?

The Workday Ambassador will be the local trainer and go-to person for all things Workday.

In this role, we will ask you to participate in webinars and in-person training to introduce you to Workday.  Attendance in a full-day Workday Ambassador training in your region is required.  Then, you will return to your unit to train your local employees and supervisors in how they’ll use Workday before we Go-Live.

As an Ambassador, you will have access to pre-developed Presentations, videos and training manuals for employees and managers.

When are the Workday Ambassador and the Employee/Supervisor Trainings?

Workday Ambassador training will take place between August 24 – September 13th.

Ambassadors will hold local training for employees (1hr) and supervisors (4 hr) between when they complete their Ambassador training and September 22nd.

Workday Ambassador Training Timeline

  1. August 9th & 17th:  Kick-Off and follow-up webinar to outline the project, help Workday Ambassadors understand your role, sign-up for regional trainings, how local training will be conducted, the Workday Engagement program, and begin training on the Workday system remotely.
  2. Aug 24 – Sept 7:  Workday Ambassadors will attend a regional full-day ‘train-the-trainer’ session to be held throughout GA, NC, and TN.  You’ll learn how to train employees and supervisors on using Workday using pre-developed training materials.
  3. Sept 5 – Sept 22nd:  Workday Ambassadors hold unit-level trainings for all employees (1 hour length) and supervisors/admin staff (4 hours in length) using pre-developed training materials including videos, 1 page quick guides, etc.  Printed materials expected to arrive to units by Tuesday, September 5th.
  4. Sept. 24 >:  Workday Ambassadors are a local resource to employees/supervisors experiencing any issues.  HR Business Partners and our Workday subject matter experts will be available for additional support, questions.
