Tina Harkey Named State Director of Administrative Services for Behavioral Health

November 5, 2018

We are pleased to announce that Tina Harkey has been named State Director of Administrative Services for RHA’s Behavioral Health units.  Tina began serving in this role in early October.

“Tina’s skill set fits well with our objective to streamline back and front-office functions throughout NC, in addition to helping us maintain efficient admin functionality as we expand into other states,” said Brandon Golder, Senior Vice President of Behavioral Health.

Tina’s objective is to ensure all RHA Behavioral Health business offices have consistent processes and practices in place in areas such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Enrollment, Credentialing, Purchasing, etc.  This consistency not only helps us ensure current operations, it will ensure we’re ready for the expansion of our behavioral health services in the future.

While Tina oversees all behavioral health administrative functions across North Carolina, the business office staff will report to the Director at each unit.

“RHA has afforded me the opportunity to utilize many of my skills while also growing by working with dynamic leaders in many different areas”, said Tina.  “I am excited about my new role and the opportunity to work with other leaders across RHA.”

Tina joined RHA in August of 2014, most recently serving as the Financial Services Regional Manager for the western region of RHA Behavioral Health.  Before joining RHA, Tina worked for October Road, an Asheville-based behavioral health provider.  During her 8 years there, Tina’s roles included VP of Business Development and Chief Operating Officer.  Tina holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Montreat College.

Tina is a proud mom of a 21 year old college student, Brooklyn, who is currently attending UNC-Greensboro pursuing a degree in Business Management. Tina’s husband, Mike, is the Western Region Deputy Director for the Department of Insurance.  Tina resides in Candler, NC near Asheville.
