Thought Leaders

Hi everyone.  We are always looking for submissions to our newsletter.  We are introducing an exciting new column called “Thought Leaders” which will feature our “best and brightest” and our up-and-coming experts in various areas of IDD and BH supports! These are employees that are working on unique and ground breaking ideas and programs in your area..  So please send us an article on your shining stars!

Unit News

We want to know what is happening in your world and would love to feature your program in the newsletter.  We will also accept additional articles about the successes of your programs or employees and significant milestones.  Let us know about upcoming events in your area.

Legislative Updates

We will also feature articles to keep you up-to-date on national issues and current legislation along with articles about corporate strides and leadership.

Submission Deadline and Process

What is the deadline to submit?

  • For 2017, the deadlines to submit articles to Marketing are: May 17, August 3, November 3

Submission Details

  • Please submit your article by uploading to the L drive on the Atlanta server.
  • Submissions will be included in both the printed and digital versions of the newsletter.
  • Most articles should be about 500 words (longer articles are also welcomed).
  • Please send a confirming email to Debbie Valentine when you upload to the newsletter folder. 

How do I find the Newsletter Folder on the Atlanta Server?

  • Click on MYCOMPUTER then on the (L:) drive
  • Click on Public-Unsecured folder
  • In this folder you will find sub-folders labeled: Newsletter (former) Howells, Newsletter Behavioral Health and Newsletter Health Services.
  • Choose your program and subfolder such as “Magnolia Place” or “Creedmoor”. If there is not one opened for your program, just open a new folder and label it.       

What kind of information do I need to submit?

  • Save your article(s) in the folder as a Word Document. PLEASE DATE ALL ARTICLES.
  • You must submit photos to accompany your articles. All photos must be labeled and submitted in JPEG format (or we can't use them) Also please save them using the name of the article.
