Ongoing Focus
  • Continued focus of our foundation, including system improvements and policy updates
  • Have spent the past 6 months ago to continue to tweak systems and policies to work for you.
  • Weekly calls with IDD Administrators and BH Directors to listen to real challenges and opportunities

Workday Manager Reviews 
  • Performance Review Overview (For non-direct support positions.
  • Direct Support Annual Reviews are a DIFFERENT process in Workday.  Based on anniversary date of hire.
  • Important for all Managers in Workday to complete their employee reviews by May 31.
  • 25% completed so far, let’s get to 100% by May 31.
  • This is a company-wide deadline for all operations and corporate support functions

Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Pilot Programs
  • We have several pilot programs going on in our IDD business.
  • Investing in our Home Managers - Working with Michelle Robertson to to give better training & support, mentoring, and freeing up hours focused on managerial duties.  Will continue to work with operational leaders to tweak the model before working to roll out to other units.
  • Also exploring Centralized Recruiting to be sure we're as efficient and effective as possible.



Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Operations

Jan Herring, VP Operations Eastern NC - New Administrators: Welcome two new Administrators, who started in their role on May 6.


New Benson, NC Administrator, Nesheil Blue

Nesheil has been an QIDP in our Lumberton unit until being promoted to Administrator.

Nesheil has over 20 years of experience in the IDD and BH field.

She has been a program administrator, vocational director, QP, also worked with Intensive In-Home Services and the 
Exceptional Children's program in Cumberland County schools.


New Maxton, NC Administrator, Johnathan Bostic

Johnathon returns to RHA after spending the 
past 5 years serving as a Care Coordinator with Alliance before returning to RHA.

Johnathan previously worked for RHA for 10 years as a Hab Spec, QP and Program Specialist




ANCOR Names Thomas Carter Recipient of 2019 Relationships Award

On May 8, 2019, the American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR) recognized Thomas Carter, a Direct Support Professional at RHA Health Services in Augusta, GA, with the 2019 Relationship Award. Thomas joined more than four dozen other recipients of ANCOR’s 2019 Direct Support Professional of the Year awards, chosen from a field of nearly 350 outstanding nominees.

Margaret Gartlgruber

Margaret spoke of the honor of Thomas being recognized, but how it's also an honor for the Augusta unit, Georgia operations, and RHA as a whole.

She specifically spoke of the importance of making concerted efforts to recognize the incredible work our staff does.  Local media highlighted Thomas's recognition, and how GA lawmakers have even commented on the story.

Dotty Bell

It's so important that our Direct Support Professionals nation-wide are recognized for their hard work.
ANCOR recognized a DSP in each state, as well as 

This type of story helps us remember why we got into this field.  Anything we can to do acknowledge and recognize our staff is very important.

ANCOR takes these stories to the US Congress for advocacy efforts to make important changes in laws and policies that impact the people we support.

Tonya Self - Augusta Administrator

It's been a very exciting time.  Thomas' award has really positively impact the performance and spirits of the Augusta staff, because they're all celebrating that the difference staff make is being recognized.

After seeing Jennifer, Margaret and Franks advocate for Congress last fall, she said she felt she needed to go further.

The process of nominating Thomas was both humbling and exciting.  ANCOR's online application is detailed, but there are guides and training that walk you through.



Finance - David Hecht
  • It's budget season, everyone's been working hard to complete budgets
  • Finance is working through them
  • Will let you know if any changes get pushed to unit operations.


Information Technology - Denise Redfearn

Zoom
  • Rollcall continues through May 31, the will be switched off.
  • If you haven’t switched to Zoom yet, please do so.
  • If you were given/requested a licence, you should have received an email with instructions on how to activate your Zoom account
  • We urge you to download the Zoom app for your phone, which is really easy to use.
  • FYI, there is a Messaging function in Zoom as well.
  • Coming Soon:
    • Information on how to set up the desktop application.
    • Will be addressing adding the Zoom plug-in to your Outlook, making scheduling calls easier.
ContractSafe
  • ContractSafe is the software we'll be rolling out to better track and manage contracts.
  • Mya doing project management to gather contracts.
  • If she has contacted you regarding any contracts at your unit/program, PLEASE REPLY TO HER!
Adobe
  • We now have a corporate Adobe account.
  • If you have a need for Adobe software, please contact Solutions
Amazon Prime
  • We now have an RHA account.
  • Will be combining other accounts to this one corporate account.
  • Working with Chris Houck and Tina Harkey.
Workday Learning
  • Working on this currently.  Still replace STARS
  • Planning on an August go live for IDD NEO, ProAct and re-certification classes.
  • Next will be BH NEO.
  • PLEASE RESPOND TO REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION, AND CONTINUE TO GATHER LOCAL TRAINING RECORDS IF NOT CURRENT IN STARS

Workday Incident Capture/Reporting

  • Working with Carla, Angie and Karen to implement Incident reporting in Workday.
  • Should be a short implementation to allow entering data in Workday and pass to our other systems.

Workday Expenses

  • For employee expense reporting
  • Was originally planned to go live with our Financials last year.
  • Ran into some issues.
  • Currently completing MasterCard/CapitalOne integration.
  • Looking to go this summer.  Stay tuned!


Housing & Assets Management - Zach Short

Element Fleet Management
  • Successfully launched in FL, GA, TN.
  • Helps with vehicle maintenance and fuel cards.
  • 250 vehicle switched.
  • Goal is to bring NC online with Element next
Hard-wired GPS in Vehicles
  • Contract with current vendor in NC comes to an end in Sept.
  • Looking to switch this service.
  • More info coming in the near future.
SMS Assist - Facility Maintenance
  • As we've grown, we have more facilities.
  • Sometimes it's been difficult to find contractors to quickly do work at a high level of quality.
  • Includes capital expenses, major repairs, etc.
  • Working to build out a 'one-call' service for all owned or leased properties.
  • An internal, multi-functional team has bee working on the implementation.
  • Working to pull in preferred vendors into their network. Some billing/payment
  • Looking to launch some time this summer.
  • Expect more info on submitting a work order, CAPEX requests, routine/preventative maintenance, training, etc.

Newsletters
  • Newsletter shipped last week, so expect these to arrive soon.
  • Please use in your community as you see fit.

Service Promotion
  • Please contact Marketing@rhanet.org if you have a need to promote your services.
  • We'll work to update your print materials, and will ensure you have proper website content that is informative and actionable.
  • We've seen even a small social-media spend to promote services has resulted in significant increases in calls and web traffic.


Clinical Updates – Sharlena Thomas 

Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) Training
  • Training for IDD Administrators has been scheduled for June 7 via Zoom webinar.
  • Invites has been sent out and receipts continue to pour in.
  • This includes NC, TN, FL, and GA.
  • Thanks to Jennifer Lineberger and her leadership team to agreeing upon a date and encouraging director and house manager attendance.
DLA-20
  • We are planning a DLA-20 training for up to 50 participants and a train the trainer session for sometime in July, preferably.
  • Expect more info soon.
DLA/NC TOPPS
  • Recently changed the DLA intervals to coincide with NC TOPPS to increase compliance with both submissions.
  • Compliance Monitoring from clinical, QA, and ops to ensue.
