RHA Behavioral Heath Pursuit of CARF Accreditation

"The CARF standards align well with RHA’s commitment of setting the PACE for Excellence in Supporting People."

- Nick Sulaiman, President

YouTube Video

A major focus of RHA’s Accessibility Plan is to honor our commitment to Trauma Informed Practices. Environmental considerations are a critical aspect of these practices.  Understanding trauma histories and prevention of re-traumatizing experiences are essential to effective supports.  We are especially committed to creating and maintaining environments that are welcoming, safe, and age appropriate for children and adolescents.  Aspects of the Accessibility Self- Assessment and the Accessibility Plan focus specifically on furnishings, materials and resources to support safety and comfort for young ones who may accompany family members to RHA or who come to RHA for their own services.

RHA High Point CARF cadets worked together to create an informational bulletin board about CARF. The display board is in the lobby, close to the front door. It briefly explains what CARF is and includes community resources that individuals may access for themselves. RHA staff are also available to assist with connection to any of those resources.

"We are excited about CARF and putting the spotlight on improving the services provided by RHA."

Blair Hedgecock, MPH

Director- High Point BH
