IDD Business Referral Bonus Program for Employees

At RHA, we're all about helping people.

We are happy to announce the IDD Business Referral Bonus Program for Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee.

Our goal with the IDD Business Referral Bonus Program is to:
  • Engage you in helping persons with an intellectual and/or developmental disability receive services faster
  • Empower you to make a referral...and a little extra money!
  • Incentivize referrals to help both the person-supported, as well as offering employees a $500 - 1,000 bonus, depending on how quickly the referral is completed.

Units With Current Group Home Openings

What is the IDD Business Referral Bonus Program?

Employee IDD Business Referral Bonuses (gross, pre-tax $)
  • $1,000 Bonus - If person-supported is moved in within 30 days of vacancy
  • $500 Bonus - If person-supported is moved in 31 or more days of vacancy
Details
  • Referral MUST BE ETHICAL!  i.e. it is not ethical if an employee also works for another provider, and refers the person-supported to RHA.
  • The goal of this program is to encourage employees to ethically refer persons-supported to a unit with an opening in a residential setting
  • Eligible for ICF or Waiver residential placement in Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee
  • Only one bonus paid per placement.  I.e. 2 employees can’t each get the $500-1,000 bonus for one person-supported placed.
  • Only eligible for new admissions (i.e. not a transfer from one RHA unit to another).  Placements in progress are eligible.
  • Paid at the time the person-supported begins living in an RHA Location
  • If the referral is coming from one of the state centers, the referral may take longer due to the transition plan.  The Vice President of the unit receiving the referral has the discretion to to determine if the employee receives the $1,000 or the $500 referral.
  • All RHA employees are eligible to receive this bonus.
  • Transfers (from one unit to another) do not qualify for this program.
How Does An Employee Make a Referral?
  • Employee should contact the unit that has the opening directly (see the Contact Person column in the state listing)
  • It us up to the Vice President and/or Administrator receiving the referral to vet that this is an ethical referral.
  • Click here for a searchable map, which has Unit Name, Administrator name, and contact.

Who's Responsibility is it to Initiate the Employee Bonus?
  • The Vice-President or the Administrator of the unit the employee works for should initiate the bonus in Workday
  • Bonus should be initiated AFTER the person-supported has moved into the home/facility
  • Off-line communication between the Administrator of the unit receiving the referral, and the Administrator where the employee works (if a different unit) is vital!
